JP Nadda flags off ‘walkathon’ on World Population Day

New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Saturday flagged off a ‘walkathon’ at India Gate to mark the World Population Day. He said that the health department has organised the event in two parts. He also stressed on working towards spreading the awareness for population control and also asked for everyone’s support in the move. World Population Day is an annual event which is observed on July 11 every year and seeks to raise awareness of global population issues. The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in 1989.
