Opposition disrupts Rajnath’s statement on Gurdaspur attack, RS adjourned for the day

New Delhi, July 30 (ANI): The proceedings in the Rajya Sabha were disrupted by the opposition on Thursday even as Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh was making a statement on the recent Gurdaspur terror attack. Deputy Chairman PJ Kurien was forced to adjourn proceedings in the Rajya Sabha till Friday as a result. Earlier in the day, Chairman Hamid Ansari read out a statement that condemned the terrorist attack in Punjab, following which a two -minute silence was observed in the memory of those who had died in the attack. As per reports, the cracking of the GPS devices found on the three terrorists, who attacked a police station in Punjab, showed that their location on July 21 was in Pakistan. The three terrorists, who were armed with mortars and night-vision devices, apart from AK-47s, reportedly crossed the Ravi on the border and came to Dinanagar by taking the route to the railway track.
