PM Modi and Turkmenistan President Berdimuhamedow hold joint press conference Part 4

Ashgabat, July 11 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow on Saturday held a joint press conference in Ashgabat. PM Narendra Modi hailed the ‘long-standing’ ties between the two nations. The Prime Minister asserted that the most significant initiative in the relationship between the two nations is the TAPI gas pipeline. He also pointed out that India and Turkmenistan have a common purpose in combating terrorism and extremism. Prime Minister Modi further stressed that connecting South and Central Asia will open up new economic opportunities. Meanwhile, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow stated that they had a fruitful discussion on various bilateral issues.
