New Delhi, July 17 (ANI): BJD leader Jay Panda batted for doing away with the subsidy in the Parliament canteen and said that time has come to keep subsidies only for the poorest of the poor. He had yesterday said that the removal of food subsidy extended to the Parliamentarians in Parliament canteens will help increase public trust and confidence in lawmakers. Reacting on this, BJP leader and Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that it is not a matter to be dealt by the government and also maintained that the canteen is not much used by the parliamentarians. Congress and other too maintained the same point and said that they would not stand against removing the subsidy.
