Rajnath Singh says Punjab attackers came from Pakistan

New Delhi/ Dinanagar, July 30 (ANI): The gunmen who stormed a police station and killed seven people in Punjab came from Pakistan, according to preliminary evidence, said Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Rajya Sabha on Thursday. In his statement, Singh warned of a forceful response to any attempt to undermine India’s territorial integrity or security but did not specify any response to Monday’s attack. The Home Minister read out his statement amid slogan shouting opposition members and he was hardly audible. Police overcame heavily armed men dressed in military fatigues on Monday after a 12-hour gun battle.
