Reactions pour in after Pak violates ceasefire in Arnia

J and K/Chandigarh, July 6 (ANI): Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Nirmal Singh on Monday called Pakistan “desperate” in its bid to infiltrate Indian border and disturb the ongoing Hindu pilgrimage. Singh’s remarks come in the backdrop of Sunday’s ceasefire violation by Pakistani Rangers who fired across the Line of Control (LoC) in Arnia sector of Jammu and Kashmir. A similar attack was carried out overnight in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district in which a Border Security Force (BSF) trooper was killed. While condemning the attack, Singh said that Pakistan was targeting the ongoing Amarnath pilgrimage in the Valley. Defence expert PN Hoon said that India needed to take a more aggressive stance against the repeated ceasefire violations.
