New Delhi, July 07 (ANI): The Supreme Court has sent a notice to Election Commission and Central government seeking a response as to why political parties are not mentioned under RTI. NCP leader Majid Memon said that the notice has been issued to Chief Election Commissioner, not political parties seeking a response. Memon expressed his personal view on the matter saying that many things are decided secretly in private meetings and that information is kept concealed from rival parties during elections thus can’t be accessible to one and all. He added that RTI on this will upset the functioning of parties. Memon further said that the CEC will give an appropriate reply to SC’s notice.
