SC upholds death warrant issued against Yakub Memon

New Delhi, July 29 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected the1993 Mumbai blasts convict Yakub Memon’s petition on his death warrant, paving the way for his execution tomorrow. He is likely to be hanged at 7 am tomorrow. SC dismissed the curative petition of Yakub. A three-judge bench comprising Justices Dipak Misra, Prafulla C. Pant and Amitava Roy said proper procedure was followed in disposing of Yakub’s curative petition. Maharashtra Governor Vidyasagar Rao had also rejected Memon’s mercy petition.
