Khunti, July 31 (ANI): Seven people were killed and one injured in a road accident after a car fell in to Tajna River near Khunti district of Jharkhand on Friday. The accident took place early morning on Tajna Bridge near NH 75, when driver of the car trying to avoid an accident with a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction lost control over the vehicle, broke through the bridge and fell in to Tajna River. Seven people who were traveling in the car died on spot where as the injured driver was rushed to the nearby hospital. Victims belonged to Odisha and were traveling from Roukela to Lucknow. Rash driving, general disregard for traffic rules and increasing number of vehicles on the road by private bus operators have led to several accidents in India.
