UPSC declares result for Civil Services examinations

New Delhi, July 04 (ANI): The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Saturday afternoon announced the results of its civil services exam. A total of 1,236 candidates have been recommended for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and central services. A total of 254 candidates have also been kept in a consolidated reserved list. Candidate Ira Singhal topped the examination, with Renu Raj and Nidhi Gupta coming second and third. Meanwhile, the result of one candidate has been withheld. A total of 180 candidates have been recommended to IAS, with 32 to IFS, 150 to IPS, 710 to Central Services group ‘A’ and 292 to group ‘B’ services. Parents of the candidates were overwhelmed with their performance in the civil service exam. The civil services preliminary examination was conducted on August 24 last year at 2,137 venues in 59 centres across the country.
