Yakub Memon Execution: End result was a miscarriage of justice, says Prashant Bhushan

New Delhi, July 30 (ANI): Senior Advocate Prashant Bhushan said on Thursday that it was a sad day for Indian democracy and also Indian judiciary after 1993 Mumbai blast accused Yakub Memon was hanged to death for his involvement in assistance for planning the blast. Bhushan said that it is very unfortunate that this kind of mob frenzy promoted by the government that he must be hanged immediately has led to unfortunate situation where he has been denied an opportunity to take the rejection of mercy petition to the Court. Further he also said that though the Supreme Court heard the matter late at night which is creditable, but the end result was a miscarriage of justice.
