Flood conditions under control in Odisha, says official

Balasore/ Giridih, August 02 (ANI): The situations in flood-affected Balasore district of Odisha was limping back to normalcy, said an official on Sunday (August 02). Floods caused by heavy rainfall have wreaked havoc in several states of eastern India, including West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand. Additional District Collector of Balasore, M Pani, said that although the situation was gradually becoming normal, many villages in the district have been marooned. In Giridih district flood conditions have worsened with Jamunia river flowing above the danger level at several places. Heavy rainfall led to waterlogging and rainwater has also entered many buildings.
