Former PM of Nepal meets PM Modi

New Delhi, August 01 (ANI): Former Prime Minister of Nepal, Sher Bahadur Deuba, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked him for New Delhi’s quick assistance in the aftermath of two powerful earthquakes in his country. Last month, India pledged $ one billion assistance to Nepal at the donors’ conference in Kathmandu. Modi had said India was fully committed to supporting Nepal in the reconstruction effort, and commended the people of Nepal for their resilience in facing this grave tragedy. Deuba briefed Modi on the developments relating to adoption of a new Constitution in Nepal during his visit to New Delhi. PM Modi appreciated the recent progress and expressed hope that outstanding issues would be resolved at the earliest, so that the Constitution that is adopted enjoys the support of all sections of the society and helps build an inclusive, stable and prosperous Nepal.
