It is not new, says PDP on Pak inviting Hurriyat leaders ahead of NSA talks

Srinagar, Aug 19 (ANI): Ahead of the upcoming National Security Advisor (NSA)-level talks, Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit extended an invitation to the Hurriyat chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani and other Hurriyat leaders for Pakistan NSA Sartaj Aziz’s reception party to be held on August 23. Aziz will arrive in the national capital on August 23 for the NSA-level talks with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval. Pakistan High Commission on Tuesday invited the Hurriyat leaders which include Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. Reacting over the invitation, PDP’s youth face, Waheed-Ur-Rehman Para said in Srinagar that diplomatic embassies of Pakistan had always been calling separatists, it is not new. Last year, India had cancelled the foreign secretary level talks with Pakistan after Basit met Kashmiri separatists ahead of the planned meet.
