New Delhi, Aug 03 (ANI): The Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Monday suspended 25 Congress Members of Parliament for five days for disturbing the functioning of the house. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that the Speaker was constantly requesting Congress leaders not to come in the well and disrupt the proceedings but they did not listen and continued to show placards, after which she was forced to take such a step. Meanwhile, suspended Congress MP Ninong Ering said that the Speaker cited placard displaying as the reason for suspension which is not true. He said that they will not ask her to take the decision back as she is the guardian of the Parliament. He added that her decision was rude and one sided.
