Overstaying students to vacate hostel rooms, says FTII director

Pune/ New Delhi, Aug 08 (ANI): The director of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) said they will take strict action against the students overstaying in the hostels despite completing their course. The administrative step has been taken keeping in mind the unrest in the institute as students have been agitating for close to two months, seeking removal of newly-appointed FTII Chairman Gajendra Chauhan. FTII Director Prashant Pathrabe made the announcement in Pune city. Meanwhile, student spokesperson of FTII, Vikas Urs said taking sudden decisions when the students are on strike is unjustified. Urs added they will also question administrators as to how these notices were taken out and what was the reason.
