Pawandeep Rajan wins the first season of “The Voice India”

Pawandeep Rajan has been adjudged as the winner of first season of Singing Reality Show, The Voice India, the grand finale of which was yesterday. The show was aired on &TV.

Pawandeep, who was from Singer Shaan’s team received Rs 50 lakh as the prize money apart from a Maruti Alto K10 and a music deal.

Speaking after winning the trophy, Pawandeep said “The Voice India is a huge platform and I feel overjoyed by this win. I feel extremely humbled with all the love and appreciation received from the audience across the country.

The grand finale of season one saw some electric performances by the likes of Kanika Kapoor, Neeti Mohan, Akriti Kakar, Ash King and Siddharth Mahadevan. The most entertaining aspect of finale was the live comedy performance by Kapil Sharma along with Elli Avram and Abbas-Mastan.

The Voice India is a singing reality talent show, based on the dutch show ‘The Voice’. It was hosted by Karan Tacker and aired weekly on &TV at 9PM. The show’s format included 4 celebrity coaches who selected their teams through a blind audition. For season 1, the coaches were Himesh Reshammiya, Mika Singh, Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan.
