People from different communities celebrate Urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Qayum in Rajasthan

Bhilwara, Aug 24 (ANI): India has been a symbol of peace and harmony in the world. In spite of so many religions, the respect towards each other’s festivals is seen to be believed. The diverse communities and ethnic groups in Rajasthan have also maintained close bond and camaraderie through ages. The people of Rajasthan celebrate all festivals with equal zeal and fervor. An example of communal harmony was witnessed in district Bhilwara of Rajasthan, where thousands of people gathered to celebrate the Urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Qayum. A colorful procession was carried out with a sacred cloth on the occasion with people showering flower petals. The sacred cloth was later laid on the burial place of the saint by the devotees. During the Urs, day-long celebrations were held by the devotees to seek the blessings of the saint. Surrounding the mausoleum, people offered silent prayers in remembrance of the saint.
