Srinagar, Aug 31 (ANI): People of different faiths live in peace and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir. The friendliness between them has been a way of life here for centuries. A similar scene is witnessed during the urs of sufi Saint Hazrat Mir Mah Ji Kamli in Nawakadal area of Srinagar, where devotees from all faiths come to pay respects to the saint. The valley of saints, Kashmir is dotted with the shrine of Sufis who preached love and oneness among the people. People of all faiths held them in high regard and follow their teachings. Laying the sacred cloth, people prayed for well being and fulfillment of their wishes. Men and women, who were part of the celebrations, were chanting hymns to please the saint and invoke his blessings. The spirit witnessed during the urs reflects that people still believe in oneness and do not discriminate against each other on the basis of religion.
