PM Modi meets South Korea’s Lotte group chairman in Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 28 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met South Korea’s Lotte group Chairman Shin Dong – bin in New Delhi. The two are likely to have discussed about business investments in India. Reportedly, Lotte Confectionary started the production of its popular Choco Pie snack in New Delhi on Wednesday and the new plant’s opening ceremony was held with 300 dignitaries, including Shin and Indian government officials. This was the chairman’s first overseas business trip after his succession feud with his older brother ended. During his two day visit to South Korea in May, Modi had met the CEO of Korean companies to pitch for more investment into India. Meanwhile, Modi also met Philips Lighting chief executive officer Eric Rondolat in the national capital. Philips Lighting, a major innovator in LED based retrofit lamps, is one the three divisions of a Dutch diversified technology company Philips.
