Sushma meets President-elect of United Nations general assembly

New Delhi, Aug 30 (ANI): Union Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj met President-elect of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Mogens Lykketoft, in New Delhi on Sunday (August 30). The talks revolved around reformed United Nations Security Council (UNSC). India pressed its demand for a permanent seat in the UNSC during talks. Lykketoft will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi later in the day. Modi is scheduled to visit New York in the last week of September to attend the UNGA session. Lykketoft will succeed Uganda’s Sam Kutesa as President of UNGA in September.
