Telecom minister tells mobile operators to optimise networks to minimise call drops

New Delhi, August 26 (ANI): Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told mobile operators to optimise networks to minimise call drops while promising full support on policy front including installation of towers. Call drop means that due to technical reasons telephone calls are cut off before the speaking parties had finished their conversation and before one of them had hung up (dropped calls). The problem has worsened in the recent months. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also voiced concern over call drops and directed the officials to resolve the problem urgently. Prasad asked the telecom operators to invest in their infrastructure to prevent the problems.
