Lucknow, August 19 (ANI): US ambassador Richard R. Verma on Wednesday called on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow. Verma discussed business opportunities in solar energy, tourism and infrastructure sectors during his meeting Yadav. The chief minister apprised the visiting dignitary of the progress in Uttar Pradesh and the steps it has taken to improve the business environment. Reportedly, US have been showing interest in business opportunities in the state, especially owing to its large consumer base. Former US ambassador Nancy Powell had visited Uttar Pradesh twice and held wide-ranging meetings with state government officials.
