Would like to have effective mechanism to determine who indulges in unprovoked firing, say Pak Envoy

New Delhi, August 16 (ANI): Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit was summoned on Sunday by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) over the recent ceasefire violations. After holding the meeting, Basit said that his side would like to have a more effective mechanism in place as to determine who indulges in these unprovoked firing. According to reports, India is expected to register its protest against the killing of innocent civilians along the Line of Control (LoC). Heavy shelling and firing by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district left six civilians dead and 15 others injured. Panic has been prevailing among the people living along the border and they have started migrating towards safer places.
