‘Blade runner’ Major DP Singh to run in support of OROP

New Delhi, Sept 03 (ANI): Blade runner Major DP Singh on Wednesday said he would start his run in support of ex-servicemen’s One Rank, One Pension (OROP) demand on September 13. He also mentioned that this run would be a world record, adding “It will be a personal record for me, as no 100 percent amputee has ever run at 12,500 feet. The OROP scheme has been a long-standing demand of nearly three-million ex-servicemen and war widows in the country. It seeks to ensure that a uniform pension is paid to defence personnel, who retire at the same rank with the same length of service irrespective of their date of retirement.
