Patna, Sept 04 (ANI): A violent clash broke out between police and the agitated members of the Nishad community demanding inclusion in SC category in Patna. The community belongs to sub category of Other Backward Castes and has been demanding inclusion in the Schedule Caste category. Thousands of protesters carried out the rally from Kargil Chowkh to Raj Bhawan, but were stopped at JP Circle by police after which a violent clash broke out between them. Police resorted to lathi charge and tear gas shelling to disperse the crowd. According to reports, around 20 protesters were arrested and 10 policemen injured in the clash.
