New Delhi, Sep 02 (ANI): Delhi Transport and Rural Development Minister Gopal Rai elucidates pan-India trade union strike against ‘centre’s anti-labour’ norms and the unions are not against state government. Rai also clearly stated that AAP has been safeguarding the interest of auto-rickshaw owners from the beginning. He also communicated the changes of the economy taxi scheme and expressed that the government is open for discussion. Trade unions all across the country are observing a nation-wide strike on Wednesday over NDA’s proposed changes in Labor laws. Essential services like banking and public transport may be impacted with ten central trade unions going ahead with their one-day nationwide strike, even as the government appealed to them for calling off the agitation. While these unions claim to have a combined membership of 15 crore workers in public and private sector, including banks and insurance companies, several outfits representing informal sector workers also today announced their support to the strike.
