Trade Unions strike: Situation intensifies in WB

North 24 Parganas/ New Delhi/ Murshidabad, Sep 02 (ANI): As the strike of trade unions is going on nation wide on Wednesday, situation intensified in West Bengal. Protesters blocked railway tracks in North 24 Parganas district of the state. The strike observing traders blocked the railway track which led to delay in train services in the area. Protesters clashed with police which in turn resorted to baton charge. The strike is being carried out in all parts of the country against NDA’s proposed changes in Labor laws. General Secretary of All India Trade Union Congress, Gurudas Dasgupta, called the strike as splendid. Meanwhile, a violent clash broke out between workers of TMC and CPM as the trade unions’ strike is being observed in Murshidabad district of West Bengal. Workers were seen beating up each other and pelting stones and situation got so tense that police had to carry the injured away.
