Two Maoist rebels surrender in Bihar

Gaya, Sep 27 (ANI): Two Maoist rebels surrendered before the police in Gaya district of Bihar, wishing to be integrated into the mainstream. The Bihar police has been running a campaign called ‘Operation Vishwas’, or ‘Operation Believe’, wherein they encourage those beguiled by Leftist-extremist elements into a life of crime and exploitation, to join mainstream. The two rebels were garlanded and felicitated under the state rehabilitation scheme. One of the surrendered Maoists said he felt exploited by other cadres and hence wanted to return to the mainstream.
