Chennai, Nov 28 (ANI): A team of government officials sent by the Centre visited the flood affected areas in north Chennai on Saturday. The team assessed the damage caused by heavy rains and flood. Meanwhile, flood water has started receding in Arumbakkam area of Chennai. According to government statistics, the floods have inflicted damages amounting to Rs. 8,481 crore across the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had released the financial assistance of nearly Rs. 940 crore to deal with the flood situation in rain- battered Tamil Nadu.
