Patna: The famous Patna Book Fair would start this year from December 4th at Gandhi Maidan, Patna. Organized by Center for Readership Development, the noted book fair would witness the participation of over 1500 Book Publishers from every conrner of the country. Around 300 Publishers would have direct participation while the remaining would have indirect participation. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is expected to inaugurate the fair.
The theme of Patna Book Fair 2015 is “Padhega Bihar, Badhega Bihar” (Bihar will prosper due to Education).
Prominent publishers participating in the Book Fair include Prabhat Prakashan, Vani Prakashan, Macmillan, Rajkamal Prakashan, Tata McGrawhill, Pustak Mahal etc.
Apart from fair, a series of cultural events, educational programmes and literary festivals would also be organised during the length of the fair.
Several schools of the city would have active participation in the book fair. Apart from this, several Bihari people working in different parts of the country would be awarded for their achievements.
