HS Ranauta inducted as 16th grand master of Grand Lodge of India

New Delhi, Nov 29 (ANI): Harcharan Singh Ranauta has been installed as the new grand master of the Grand Lodge of India. He has been elected as the new grand master for a period of three years. Ranauta, the chairman of Chandigarh-based Ranauta Group of Industries, keeps shuffling between Chandigarh and Nairobi every month. He was born in Nairobi and later moved to India. Ranauta said the main objective of the Grand Lodge of India is education for the girl child. The Grand Lodge of India (GLI) is the main governing body of Freemasonry within India, it was officially constituted on November, 24, 1961. There were three delegations from the Grand Lodge of Scotland, Grand Lodge of Ireland and Grand Lodge of England in that order.
