Islamic State a live threat in Kashmir valley, says army

Srinagar, Nov 29 (ANI): General Officer Commander of Army’s 15 Corps, Lieutenant General Satish Dua, who heads the army in Kashmir, said that Islamic State (IS) is a live threat in Jammu and Kashmir and it couldn’t be ignored. He added that it was a cause of concern and the security agencies were monitoring it. He also didn’t rule out the possibility of the Islamic State forging an alliance with the Pakistan-based militant outfits such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaishe-e-Mohammad for violence in the Valley. Dua further added 25 militants infiltrated into Indian territories this year but they were neutralized before they could reach the reception area in the hinterland.
