Manohar Parrikar Clarifies Retirement Statement

Dehradun/New delhi, Nov 30 (ANI): Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has dismissed reports of his retirement saying it was a reporter’s wishful thinking. He said, at the age of 60, normally people think of retirement and perhaps I would have also. But I had to take bigger responsibilities at Centre and I assure you that I will come back only after finishing the task I am given. Ha said that the statement was misinterpreted and that it was made in a “lighter moment about general retirement of a man in our country”. The congress leader P L Punai says that if Manohar Parrikar thinks that he is not capable then he will decide by himself as there were many senior leaders whose contribution is an example in the history. However the Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shahnawaz Hussain said that he says something else and while there are some people who are trying to make an issue.
