Wish Rajiv Gandhi had ‘held talks’ with Sikhs in 1984: BJP

Mumbai, Nov 24 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shahnawaz Hussain attached on Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s suggestion that the government should ‘reach out’ to the masses to hear their problems, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) raised the grand old party’s dark past and said former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi should have ‘talked’ with the Sikh community before the 1984 riots. He said that they condemn Rahul Gandhi’s statement. However, we sincerely wish that Rajiv Gandhi had invited the Sikhs for an open discussion and had not said that ‘when a big tree falls, the earth shakes.
