PM Modi arrives home after attending COP 21

New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived home on Tuesday morning after a day-long visit in Paris where he attended the opening session of World Climate Change Conference 2015 or COP21. Addressing the world leaders, Modi said that climate change was a global challenge, but something India was not responsible for. France and India on Monday launched an international alliance seeking to mobilise more than a trillion dollars by 2030 and deliver clean, solar energy to some of the planet’s poorest. Modi also held talks with US President Barack Obama during which he pledged to ensure India’s development would go “hand in hand” with environmental protection, while Obama acknowledged India’s right to grow and fight poverty. The COP21 will conclude on December 11.
