SRK’s ‘Raees’ shoot halted again in Ahmedabad

New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): Troubles for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan don’t seem to be ending after he opined on the much-controversial intolerance debate. According to reports, the filming of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’ was again disrupted in Ahmedabad, but this time by Archeological Survey of India (ASI) as the unit did not take permission from the authorities to shoot in a mosque. A certain scene of the film was set to be shot in the famous Sarkhej Roza, an old mosque in Ahmedabad, but the crew failed to ask for the required permission from ASI. Previously, the shoot of the film was halted over the protests of one local political outfit. The makers are now reportedly seeking the necessary permissions and the shoot is expected to resume at the earliest. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen playing the role of a Gujarati don in ‘Raees.’ The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan in the supporting roles. ‘Raees’ is scheduled to be released in August 2016 and will clash with Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ at the domestic Box-Office.
