India continues to reel under blistering heat

Latur/Gulbarga, 29 Apr (ANI): An unusual high temperature in April has hit normal life across India. In Odisha, people are forced to stay indoors and those venturing out have to cover their faces to beat the heat. In Latur, people are struggling for water. Authorities have sent several trains carrying water to Latur, but that is not sufficient. People have to walk miles to get water. In the neighbouring Nagpur city, people have been crowding at juice stalls to quench their thirst. People are apprehensive about the coming months when the temperature is likely to shoot further. Gulbarga in the state is baking, with temperatures crossing 44 degrees Celsius. This is more than four degrees compared to last year.
