Rio Olympics: IOA writes to Sachin Tendulkar to be its Goodwill Ambassador

New Delhi, Apr 29 (ANI): Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on Friday wrote to cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar to be Goodwill Ambassadors for India at the upcoming Rio Olympics 2016. This development comes after a group of athletes, led by athlete and Olympian Milkha Singh, had opposed the appointment of actor Salman Khan as Goodwill Ambassador for Rio. Former athlete Sunita Godara on Friday said it is a shame for IOA that they can’t choose an athlete to represent the country. Meanwhile, according to sources, IOA has also approached Abhinav Bindra to be Goodwill Ambassador for India.
