Varanasi, Apr 29 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the country’s first e-boats on his visit to Varanasi on Sunday. The motive is to reduce pollution in the congested heritage city. Meanwhile, Varanasi boatmen are disappointed as their traditional boats are being replaced with electric boats, stating that it won’t help them. PM Modi is slated to flag off a fleet of 11 e-boats on May 1. Distressed boatmen are likely to stage a protest on this issue.
