After Mansour slip-up, Pakistan decides to re-verify all National ID cards

Islamabad, May 29 (ANI): After astounding disclosures about a fraudulent national identity card issued to Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan ordered re-verification of all computerized national identity cards (CNICs) within a period of six months. Addressing a news conference in Islamabad Khan said it was a must to authenticate identities of all nationals because fraudulent CNIC issued to Mullah Mansour under the fake identity of Wali Muhammad, had given the world the impression that anyone could acquire Pakistani identity card.
