Srinagar, May 26 (ANI): Indian Army’s Shakti Vijay Brigade celebrated the Teetwal Day (LoC) at Teetwal in Tangdhar sector of Kupwara district. The celebration, an annual ritual, spanned over 10 days, in which several sports, social and cultural events were organised. The day is observed in memory of soldiers who sacrificed their lives while fighting against raiders in 1948. The locals also showcased Gatka, the martial art of the region followed by a cultural show by schoolchildren. The family members of the awardees were the guests of honour at the event. The show by Army dogs and the cultural activities brought an enthusiastic applause from all.
