Asia’s second highest Singshore Bridge in Sikkim beholds tourists

Sikkim, May 27 (ANI): Considered as second smallest state in India, Sikkim is a home to Asia’s second highest Singshore Bridge, situated 25 km away from Pelling. The bridge offers an overview of the scenic beauty of Sikkim to the tourists from across the globe. Pelling is a town in Geyzing district of West Sikkim. Pelling is nestled at an altitude of 2,150 m (7,200 feet). The bridge was built 16 years ago by connecting two hills, attracting a large number of tourists every year. This is the first time I am coming across such technically well built bridge and most important part is that it is a very old bridge. Offering a splendid view of lush hillsides, overwhelming waterfalls and the pristine valley, Singshore Bridge promises a sight to behold. It connects two beautiful villages Dentam and Uttarey, where homestay facilities are also available. For tourists, there is a special restaurant adjacent to the bridge where one can have a wonderful time. The Government of Sikkim is likely to introduce Bungee jumping activities soon to make it more attractive for adventure seekers.
