Boys outshine Girls in ICSE Class 12 Exam in Bihar

The Results of ICSE Board Exam for Class 10 and 12 were declared yesterday and Bihar has registered a pass percentage of 99.61% in class 12 Exam while 98.79% in Class 10 Exam.

Shruti Priya of Mount Assisi School, Bhagalpur topped Class 12 exam with 97.75% marks while Mohammad Taay Hannan and Vishisht Priyadarshi of St Xavier’s High School, Patna jointly topped in class 10 by securing 98.4% marks.

“Both the toppers are from our school. This is certainly something to feel elated at,” St Xavier’s principal Fr Jacob OA said.

The second position in the ICSE exam was shared by Don Bosco Academy’s Aryender Singh and St Joseph’s Convent High School’s Shreya Singh and Shreya Saumya by securing 98.17%.

In Class 12 exam, the second position was shared by Mount Assissi’s Sharad Kotriwala and St Joseph Convent’s Shivangi Sinha by obtaining 96.25% marks.

None of the Bihar students, however, could make it to the all-India merit list. The number of unsuccessful students in Class 10 and 12 were 52 (31 boys and 21 girls) and 3 (one boy and two girls), respectively.

In Class 10, girls registered a pass percentage of 98.87%, while boys’ registered 98.74% pass percentage. In Class 12, boys had a pass percentage of 99.63% while girls had pass percentage of 99.55%..

Altogether, 4,306 students, including 2,452 boys and 1,854 girls, appeared in the Class 10 examinations of CISCE, which were conducted from February 29 to March 31. In the Class 12 examinations, 762 students appeared from the state, which included 224 boys and 538 girls.
