Delhi needs full statehood to curb repeatedly occurring rapes: Kejriwal

New Delhi, May 26 (ANI): Raising the issue of granting full statehood to Delhi in order to curb rape incidents which occur repeatedly, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said Delhi is not a full state as a result of which such problems are coming up repeatedly. Every crime incident reminds that somehow law and order should be under democratic control so that the law enforcement agencies and public could work together. In a horrific incident, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly brutally raped and dumped near a railway track in south east Delhi’s Pul Prahladpur area. The minor girl, an orphan, is admitted in AIIMS and her condition is said to be critical. Meanwhile, Congress president Sonia Gandhi also met the victim.
