Low visibility hampers dousing ops in Uttarakhand

Srinagar, May 02 (ANI): The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Monday fought the massive forest fire in Uttarakhand’s Srinagar district after a day of low visibility which had hampered work yesterday. Firemen have been battling for days to douse the fire. At least 2,269 hectares of forest area has been destroyed in the blaze so far. A mixture of dry leaves littered on ground, lack of humidity and high winds can convert a single spark into a raging fire.
