Chennai, May 04 (ANI): Ahead of single-phase assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala on May 16, several companies of paramilitary personnel have started arriving in the Chennai for election duty. The Election Commission has been planning to deploy over 275 companies of paramilitary personnel in 234 constituencies across the state. The single-phase polling was announced for 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly, 30-member Puducherry Assembly and 140-member Kerala Assembly.
