Security forces recover arms from three militant hideouts in Kashmir

Awantipora (J&K), May 31 (ANI): Police and security forces busted three militant hideouts in Awantipora town of Jammu and Kashmir and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition. The local police along with paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) busted two hideouts of Hizbul Mujahideen, a Kashmiri separatist group whose leader Syed Salahuddin is based in Pakistan. Security forces launched a joint operation based on a tip-off. Militant violence remains a problem in Kashmir although levels of violence are down from the levels of the 1990s when an armed revolt against Indian rule erupted.
