This Hindu temple in Rajasthan gives ‘sin-free’ certificates for Rs. 11

Pratapgarh (Rajasthan), May 27 (ANI): Hindus in India traditionally believe that bathing in holy waters washes away their sins they have committed all their life. However, a Shiva temple, Gautameshwar Mahadev Paapmochan Teertha, in Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh district gives people a ‘sin-free’ or ‘paap mukti’ certificate. To redeem their ‘sins’, people take a dip in temple’s Mandakini Kund and a group of priests, called ‘Aminat Kachhari’, charges Rs 10 for ‘dosh-nivaran’ (removal of obstacles) and Rs. 1 for each certificate. Giving details, priest Nandkishore Sharma said people ostracised in their villages come there to take a dip and go back with ‘paap-mukti’ certificates.
