Bastar (Chhattisgarh), June 28 (ANI): Atleast 10 Maoists have surrendered before the police in Chandigarh’s insurgency-hit Bastar district. The surrendered Maoists were awarded cheques by Bastar Collector Amit Kataria and Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajendra Narayan Das. The administrations have assured all necessary help for rehabilitation of the surrendered Maoists. According to police, about 350 Maoists from Bastar have surrendered since the launch of ‘Mission 2016’, a state-sponsored programme to end Maoism.
